About Shaheen

Shaheen Ensanyat is of Chinese and Persian descent and was raised in Austin, TX.  He received a B.S. in Neural Science from New York University where he also conducted research in auditory development and plasticity.  He served as President of the NYU Persian Cultural Society for several years and has collaborated with numerous non-profit Iranian organizations to unite the community towards charitable endeavors and promote its rich cultural heritage.  Among his various initiatives, Shaheen helped organize IAAB's International Conference on the Iranian Diaspora and PAAIA's Passing the Torch of Success.  He currently serves as co-leader for the New York chapters of PAAIA NexGen and Shabeh Jomeh.
