Conducting National Statistical Surveys
In striving to become the leading source of accurate information about the Iranian American community, PAAIA commissioned Zogby International, a nationally recognized pollster, to survey Iranian American attitudes on important issues in 2008. In addition, PAAIA conducted a national public opinion survey of American perceptions of Iranian Americans, Iranians, and Iran in August of 2008. Follow-up surveys of Iranian Americans were conducted by Zogby Research Services in 2009, 2011, and 2012. In February 2013, PAAIA commissioned George Mason University to conduct its fifth national public opinion survey of Iranian Americans. The surveys are an integral component of better understanding the Iranian American community and having its voice heard through the availability of on-going accurate scientific data. These invaluable surveys were the first of their kind and have been presented to the U.S. Congress, U.S. Department of State, the media, and the general public to wide acclaim.
