Darius Shahinfar Releases Campaign Ads

Albany, NY, August 25, 2008 – Darius Shahinfar for Congress announced this week the release of its first television ads of the 2008 campaign. In his two ads, which are also posted on You Tube, Shahinfar poses a simple question: How can we change Washington, D.C. if we keep sending career politicians and lobbyists to represent us?

Meet PAAIA in Southern California

Beginning in October, PAAIA will be visiting several major cities across the U.S. to meet and greet the Iranian American community. These events will give you a chance to learn more about PAAIA and the vision that it represents, as well as some of PAAIA's current projects. This will also be an opportunity for you to provide us with your feedback and have your questions about PAAIA answered, and to learn how you can be involved with our organization. PAAIA staff, including its Executive Director Babak Hoghooghi, and Rudi Bakhtiar, PAAIA's Director of Public Relations and former primetime anchor at CNN, will be on hand to introduce PAAIA and answer any questions you may have.

Steve Westly to Speak to Iranian Americans about Barack Obama

San Francisco, CA, August 27, 2008 – The Bay Area Iranian-American Democrats (BAIAD) will be hosting Steve Westly, California Co-Chair of Senator Obama’s presidential campaign, at its public event on Sunday, September 7th at Faz restaurant in Sunnyvale, California beginning at 4:30 PM.
