Survey of American Perceptions of Iranian Americans

One of PAAIA's core objectives is to actively engage in positive image building on behalf the Iranian American community. To do that effectively, we must first develop a clear understanding of how the American public at large perceives Iranian Americans, as well as Iran. It is only after achieving such an understanding that we can effectively put forth a strategy to portray an image of our community that is more consistent with the realities of who we are.

To that end, PAAIA has commissioned Zogby International to conduct an unprecedented scientific public opinion survey of the American public at large and their perception of Iranian Americans, Iranians and Iran. The results of this survey will allow us to identify our Iranian American community's image gap and establish a base line for PAAIA's image building objectives.

Zogby International is a pre-eminent polling firm that has been tracking public opinion throughout the world since 1984 and has a particular expertise in conducting polls of or about ethnic communities in the United States.

More information about this survey, including the complete results of the poll, will soon be available on the PAAIA website.
