The Sarram Service Initiative (SSI) is a community driven program designed to engage and empower the next generation of Iranian Americans committed to civic participation, public service, and collective impact. Through a range of opportunities spanning community building, advocacy, service, and cultural connection, SSI creates meaningful spaces for individuals to connect, learn, and contribute alongside peers who share a dedication to strengthening the Iranian American community.

Open to Iranian Americans and CLP alumni with interests in public policy, global affairs, and community leadership, SSI offers an inclusive environment that encourages personal growth, thoughtful dialogue, and long lasting relationships. Participants gain access to events, initiatives, and networks that support informed advocacy, purposeful service, and a deeper connection to shared heritage.

What
The Sarram Service Initiative (SSI) is a dynamic program that empowers and engages the new generation of Iranian Americans dedicated to civic engagement through active community building.

SSI is designed to foster community building and advocacy by providing participants and the CLP alumni network with diverse opportunities to (re)connect, learn, and contribute.

Who
SSI is tailored for Iranian Americans and CLP alumni who are interested in public policy and global affairs as well as eager to connect with their peers and contribute to the community. Participants can expect a supportive and inclusive environment that celebrates shared heritage, encourages personal growth, and facilitates valuable networking.

Pillars

Foster a supportive community through networking mixers, skill-sharing sessions, alumni dinners, and cultural events to build lasting connections with like-minded individuals committed to making a positive impact.

Raise awareness and advocate for issues relevant to the Iranian American community.

Lift up and work with local communities to serve, promote charitable activities, and engage in purpose-driven volunteerism.

Offer art and humanities related events – including film screenings, exhibitions, lectures, and tastings – to provide participants with a deeper connection to their heritage
