About CLP
Civic Leadership Program
The Civic Leadership Program offers five key initiatives that support Iranian American youth in building civic knowledge, leadership experience, and professional networks.
Whether you’re in high school or already on your career path, these programs are designed to help you lead.
Our Story
The Civic Leadership Program was launched by PAAIA with the goal of giving young Iranian Americans the knowledge, access, and mentorship they need to lead in American public life.
It was inspired by leaders like Nazie Eftekhari — a healthcare entrepreneur and lifelong advocate — who believes that storytelling, civic education, and shared identity can transform our future.
Since its launch, the program has reached hundreds of students nationwide, built a powerful alumni network, and helped participants launch meaningful careers in government, policy, and advocacy.
Meet Our Alumni
Our program alumni have gone on to work on Capitol Hill, attend law and graduate schools, lead campus initiatives, and advocate for their communities — all while proudly embracing their Iranian American identity.
